Adventuring in different underwater worlds and surfing the raw oceans is everything I like. My name is Christina, I’m a professional surfer and freediver, exploring the cold oceans of our world.
Originally from Austria, I’ve found my home along the rugged Atlantic coast of Portugal. My favorite surf is usually at first light, off the beaten track, with conditions maybe not as perfect, but in solitude, during the winter months when the ocean is powerful and waves are big.
A few years ago, I discovered that there are two worlds within the ocean, each with unique challenges and learnings. When there are no waves, I go freediving. This extreme sport opened a whole new sense of adventure to me. Something that balances my adrenaline-filled surf adventures through learning to calm down my body and mind, to be able to dive deep with only one breath.
While still focusing on surfing bigger waves, freediving has opened a path to spend even more time in the sea, with countless more adventures to come!
